Emoda Software (Emoda Yazılım) is a health-technology R&D company based at İzmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH), Türkiye.
Founded in 2014 and focused on healthcare since 2018, we turn clinical research into deployable digital health systems using computer vision, artificial intelligence, IoT and mobile technologies. We have delivered more than fifteen projects, and we have a proven record in Horizon and Horizon Europe consortia as a technology partner, task leader and reliable delivery partner.
WHAT WE DO
Our technology processes medical images and biosignals to extract actionable insights for AI-based diagnostics, prediction and clinical decision support. Through our Health Data Platform, we collect and harmonise data from wearable devices, electronic health records, environmental sensors and patient-reported outcomes to support personalised care and early risk detection.
We develop digital twin solutions that simulate patient scenarios and help optimise treatment pathways. Our clinical decision support systems are designed to fit into existing physician workflows, not replace them, and our mobile and IoT applications connect with medical devices for real-time data collection and remote patient monitoring.
EUROPEAN R&D TRACK RECORD
CLARITY-PD (Horizon Europe, 2026): Emoda is the technology partner in a consortium investigating the causal links between air pollution, pesticides, heavy metals and Parkinson's disease. We apply the exposome framework, deploy sensor-based monitoring systems and build AI-driven risk models for biomarker discovery and neurodegenerative disease tracking.
NanoLoom (next-generation single-molecule imaging platform): NanoLoom lets researchers see thousands of DNA molecules directly on a single microfluidic chip. Emoda develops the AI-driven image analysis at the core of the platform. It detects subtle changes in DNA and protein behaviour, measures binding events at high throughput and tracks molecular dynamics in real time. This speeds up data interpretation and early decisions in mechanistic drug discovery for research groups, biotech companies and pharmaceutical teams. The project connects our software with advanced manufacturing: we coordinate technical handoffs between researchers and nanofabrication partners, including 1NA Technologies, TİGA and SCIL Nanoimprint, and oversee deliverables such as nanostructure verification master stamp designs.
LUCIA (Horizon Europe Cancer Mission, HORIZON-MISS-2021-CANCER-02-03, 2023–2026): This project has 22 partners in 9 countries, and Emoda is the only partner from Türkiye. We lead the task on capturing lifestyle and wearable data and visualising it through end-user mobile applications. We also contribute to data integration and harmonisation, geo-referenced cohort stratification and AI modelling of lung cancer risk factors.
PERSIST (Horizon 2020, SC1-DTH-01-2019, ID 875406): This project built a patient-centred survivorship care ecosystem for breast and colon cancer patients. Emoda led Task 4.1 and delivered the PERSIST mHealth application in 2021. We worked with DXC Technology, the University of Maribor, Gradiant, Symptoma and University Medical Centre Maribor, and co-authored scientific publications with them.
VILLAGE (Horizon Europe MSCA Staff Exchanges 2021): In this project we work on virtual laboratories for engineering education, which shows our experience beyond Cluster Health.
NanoLoom: We provide the AI image-analysis core of a single-molecule imaging platform that visualises thousands of DNA molecules on a microfluidic chip, supporting mechanistic drug discovery.
Our products include emoCardio (cardiovascular decision support with smart band, patient and clinician apps, on the App Store and Google Play), emoBAND (a wearable monitoring ecosystem), emoRAD (a radiology information system with e-signature), MicroCell (a laboratory information system connecting hospitals and central laboratories across Türkiye) and Rehealth (home care and telemedicine).
WHAT WE BRING TO A CONSORTIUM
We can take the following roles in a project:
-
AI and machine-learning modelling for risk prediction and clinical decision support
-
computer vision for medical and microscopy imaging
-
wearable, IoT and sensor data capture
-
mobile health applications for patients and clinicians
-
data platforms, integration and harmonisation
-
digital twins
-
interoperable hospital and laboratory systems
We can lead tasks and work packages, including technical progress reporting, risk management and quality control. We work in line with GDPR and Turkish KVKK. As a partner from Türkiye, a Horizon Europe associated country, we are fully eligible for funding and bring experience of working inside live hospital and laboratory environments.
