About

CELLnTEC is a Swiss biotechnology company specialising in precision cell culture technologies for primary and stem cells, advanced in vitro models, tissue engineering and translational research. Our core expertise lies in the development and optimisation of specialised cell culture media designed to control key cell behaviours, including isolation, expansion, differentiation, co-culture, 2D/3D culture, tissue maturation and long-term maintenance.

CELLnTEC develops chemically defined, serum-free, xeno-/animal-component-free and clinically upgradable culture systems, together with primary human cells and technologies for advanced 3D models. Our portfolio supports applications ranging from epithelial and endothelial cell culture to organotypic models, organoids, organ-on-chip systems, regenerative medicine, bioprinting and drug or biological-response studies.

Beyond supplying established products, CELLnTEC can contribute directly to collaborative R&D through customised medium development and optimisation. This includes translating complex, lab-developed formulations into simpler, more defined, reproducible and scalable media, while preserving the required cell performance and functionality. We also support optimisation of culture conditions and protocols, and adaptation of formulations for specific cell types and complex multicellular systems.

"Higher Certified" media formats support the translation of research-grade processes into controlled and GMP-oriented environments, facilitating progression toward clinical and ATMP development. CELLnTEC already contributes this expertise to the Horizon Europe NEOLIVER project.

As an industrial SME partner, CELLnTEC combines cell biology and medium-development expertise with established manufacturing, quality-control and commercialisation capabilities. We are interested in joining Horizon Europe consortia where specialised culture media and advanced human cell systems can enable regenerative medicine, bioprinting, tissue engineering, advanced in vitro and organotypic models, therapeutic development and validation, or translation of promising technologies toward clinical application.

We are particularly interested in collaborations where CELLnTEC can serve as the specialised cell culture and media-development partner, working closely with academic, clinical, biotechnology and engineering partners to translate innovative cell-based technologies from research into robust and scalable applications.
