EA is an independent Swiss consultancy of around 15 experts specialised in environmental assessment and sustainability. Science and research are deeply rooted in the company's DNA: the team actively contributes to methodological advances in the field and collaborates closely with universities and industrial research groups, acting as a trusted sustainability partner for innovators, companies and research consortia alike.
EA supports its partners in demonstrating the environmental relevance, performance and credibility of their products, processes and technologies. Its core expertise is life cycle assessment (LCA), carried out in line with international standards (ISO 14040/14044) and the EU Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) framework, including for early-stage innovations where data are still scarce. This is complemented by carbon, water and plastic footprint analysis, life cycle costing (LCC) and social LCA (S-LCA) to capture the economic and social dimensions of a solution, as well as circularity assessment.
Beyond assessment, EA works iteratively alongside technology developers to support ecodesign, identifying environmental hotspots early and helping continuously improve the performance of a solution throughout its development. The team also provides comparative environmental performance studies, scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to deliver credible, decision-ready results, and develops user-friendly online footprinters to communicate environmental performance to a broad audience.
EA's experts have authored numerous scientific publications and reports, several with more than 20 years of experience in LCA. This scientific depth is paired with strong responsiveness and a clear understanding of funding bodies' requirements, making EA a reliable partner from early proposal stages through to project delivery, whether contributing specific expertise or leading a full sustainability work package.
