HORIZON-CL4-2027-02-DIGITAL-EMERGING-52-two-stage: New approaches for Human/AI collaboration for the workforce of the future

We offer our expertise in AI and gamification to develop an AI-based system that (1) helps "reduce the onboarding time of new employees and support personnel upskilling to adapt to the evolving technological landscape" and (2) learns new knowledge from workers.

The system is mainly based on AI planning techniques, that lend themselves to "planning activities at shop floor level" and are interpretable and explainable. The system is also enhanced by gamification techniques that encourage workers to use the system and contrast cognitive biases (such as anchoring, overconfidence, etc.), which can hinder the learning of new procedures in highly experienced workers.

The AI-based system supports "adaptation to the different abilities of the workers and facilitating inclusion", and can produce plans for human-robot collaborative operation, in view of being applied to "Human-AI Co-Learning and knowledge capture" and "Human-AI teamwork".
