Packaging EoL management and EPR schemes

Recyclia has developed expertise in the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes for packaging waste, positioning itself as an early actor in Spain’s emerging compliance landscape for commercial and industrial packaging. In January 2025, coinciding with the entry into force of the new regulatory obligations for producers, Recyclia launched its Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) for packaging, supporting companies in regulatory compliance and the effective management of end-of-life packaging. Building on its long-standing experience managing EPR systems for WEEE and batteries, Recyclia provides expertise in producer compliance, reporting, traceability, stakeholder coordination, reverse logistics and end-of-life management.

Beyond compliance, Recyclia actively supports companies in improving the environmental performance of packaging systems through the development of collective PEPE Plans (Business Prevention and Ecodesign Plans). These initiatives help producers identify measures to prevent waste generation, improve packaging design, increase recyclability and reduce environmental impacts across the value chain. Through this work, Recyclia contributes to the transition towards more circular, resource-efficient and sustainable packaging systems.
