Kadir Has University is committed to research and innovation and has already made to the THE WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKING of 2024 as a Research University. KHAS is ranked 8th in Turkey, listed in the top 1000 Universities worldwide according to Times Higher Education Index, a prestigious ranking that reflects our commitment to academic excellence and global impact.

At Kadir Has University, we are dedicated to attracting new researchers from Europe and the surrounding regions, aiming to become a leader in higher education in Turkey. Our team comprises around 230 academic and 200 administrative staff members, all of whom contribute to our mission of academic excellence. The School of Graduate Studies offers 32 Master’s and 15 Doctoral degree programs, providing a wide range of educational opportunities for our students.

Our commitment to academic excellence is evident in our performance evaluation system. All faculty members with doctorate degrees are required to lead at least one research project and publish in Q1 journals annually. This policy has significantly boosted our success in international and national funding and indexed publications over the past six years. We have also excelled within the European Commission's framework programs.  Notably, four of these international project coordinations are led by female researchers, a testament to our commitment to gender equality.

Furthermore, the White Doves scholarship program, organized by the university to support the education of female students facing challenges, highlights KHAS’s dedication to gender equality and serves as a model of positive discrimination for women.

KHAS has significant experience in the management and delivery of EU-funded projects. Under Horizon 2020, we have contributed to eight projects, with four as coordinators and four as partners; under Horizon Europe, we are involved in five projects, three of them as coordinators.

KHAS has a separate building housing 8 research centers and the Directorate of R&D Resources. Kadir Has University also has a Technopark, established on April 11, 2023, through a partnership between Kadir Has University, Silivri Municipality, and Kadir Has Foundation, it is a technology development zone where companies and entrepreneurs develop technological products and services that do not harm resources for future generations. The acceptance of companies by Kadir Has University Technopark, which will host entrepreneurs, is still ongoing.
