Sazcılar has been producing glass fiber reinforced polymer composite parts with a wide production capacity for the main sectors of Automotive, Railway, Machinery and Agricultural Equipment since 1987. It carries on its activities in 5 main production facilities, 4 of which are in Bursa and 1 in Sakarya, in a closed area of 30.000 m2. With its 10.000 Tons/Year GRP production capacity, it provides service to leading OEM companies operating in Turkey and the world. Sazcılar has many production technologies. These can be listed as RTM, SMC, BMC, Hand Lay Up, Prepreg, Vacuum Infusion. It also has many production skills. These can be listed as lightweight sandwich production, soft touch covering, complete assembly, 6 axis CNC robot FRP trimming. The company is able to carry out all processes of FRP production in-house (from mould production to painting process). It can reach all kind of materials quickly owing to its strong supply resources. On the engineering side; CATIA V5, MSC Nastran, Patran, Apex, ZW3D are used. Here in Sazcılar, we also provide engineering services in addition to manufacturing. Reverse engineering, co-design, industrial, mechanic design and fast prototyping are among our services. Also, Mould production/design according to a proper production method and revising the current design accordingly are the fundamental cornerstones of our services. Besides, we can evaluate the lamination stacking sequence (LSS) and other components using finite element method according to EN 12663-1 standard in means of static structural endurance. In this way, we foresee the critical/ineligible areas even before production and improve the structure in these areas. This also gives us the opportunity to reduce the weight of the structure and make it more cost-effective. Sazcılar has big capability on the laboratory side. Mechanical properties such as tensile, bending, compression, shear, fatigue in the laboratory; aging of FRP materials against UV and water; chemical properties of resins such as gel time, shrinkage, viscosity; gloss, color and thickness of the coatings are performed. On the R&D side, natural products, biocomposites, high-tech FRP production, functional FRP materials, recycling of thermoset materials ad etc. issues are being studied.
