About me
Victoria is a Chancellor’s Fellow in the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, having joined the department in October 2024. She is a chemical engineer with experience in fermentation process development for industrial biotechnology, in both an industrial and academic context. Victoria’s research focuses fermentation process development and fermentation intensification, with past projects including development of continuous fermentations, bioreactor design, the application of in situ product recovery, and waste utilisation. Additionally, her research includes improving fermentation R&D to facilitate faster scale-up and commercialisation. Victoria will be presenting in the innovation showcase a project aimed to enable the use of any “organic waste” as a feedstock for fermentation.
