About me

Sophie Vaud is the Head of the Microbial Engineering Division at Colorifix, where she leads a multidisciplinary team of scientists focused on engineering microbial strains to produce Nature-inspired sustainable dyes at scale. Sophie holds a PhD in Synthetic Biology from University of Nottingham, where her research focused on the genetic engineering of bioplastic-producing bacteria. She is dedicated to driving innovation, and developing sustainable solutions that address current challenges in the textile industry.
