About the Speaker: Bernhard Schmidt
Bernhard Schmidt, Senior Director of CT R&D Collaborations and Senior Key Expert at Siemens Healthineers, is one of the leading innovators in modern medical imaging. Holding a Ph.D. in physics, he has authored over 300 scientific publications with nearly 45,000 reads and around 15,000 citations.
His work has resulted in more than 15 patents and has significantly shaped the development of photon-counting CT, spectral imaging, and advanced image reconstruction. Dr. Schmidt has played a key role in translating photon-counting detector CT technology into clinical practice, collaborating closely with renowned institutions such as Mayo Clinic and Ruijin Hospital.
