International Balkan University

International Balkan University (IBU) has 7 faculties, a Vocational School for Nursing and Midwifery and English Language School, including more than 30 undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. programs in a variety of fields, such as engineering, architecture, economics, dental medicine, nursery, administrative sciences, law, fine arts, educational sciences, communications, humanities, and social sciences. Our students come from North Macedonia, Turkey, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bulgaria. With the multicultural and multi-ethnic composition of both students and academics, International Balkan University is a truly international university. IBU is an English medium university that offers 1100 total hours of qualified language teaching in its English Language School, as a preparatory program. All academic programs of International Balkan University have been accredited by the Macedonian Ministry of Education and Science in 2008, as well as by the prestigious Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK). Until now, IBU has signed more than 400 agreements, including: bilateral agreements, Erasmus+ agreements and Mevlana exchange program agreements drawing a map of more than 40 countries around the world. IBU was ranked as the best private university in North Macedonia in 2012, as well as the best university on national level in the category of Teaching and Learning in 2016 by the internationally recognized Shanghai University Ranking. So far, IBU is an associate member of the European University Association (EUA), a founding member of the Balkan Universities Association (BUA) and member of the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS).
