About me
SUMMARY
Full professor at the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek with more than 15 years of experience in meat science, animal production, breeding and genetics. Throughout my career, I have gained experience in designing experiments, conducting experiments both in the laboratory and on the farm, and publishing results in scientific journals and other reports. My research focuses on all aspects of food production: from animal rearing (mainly pigs), transport, slaughter, animal welfare and product quality to product authentication at the molecular level and safety in terms of microbiological safety but also the threat of bioterrorism. In addition, I have been involved in national and EU-funded projects for the development of improved/novel foods of animal origin with the main objective of developing new poultry products and investigating their positive impact on human health.
I am able to carry out strategic planning, budgeting and project management, am well organised and adhere strictly to deadlines. Thank you to my experience and ability to learn quickly and understand changes in policies and processes, I can quickly familiarise myself with any role.
