Jovan Zubović

Jovan Zubović has over 20 years of experience in economic policy, tobacco economics, labor, and agricultural economics. He holds a PhD in Economics and has been Director of the Institute of Economic Sciences since 2015, where he leads efforts in economic research and policy development. Zubović is a member of key professional bodies, including the European Association of Labour Economists and the National Association of Economists in Serbia, reflecting his active engagement in the field.

His work spans international projects funded by the EU, US, GIZ, and UN, focusing on socio-economic development and institutional research. With more than 15 years of consulting experience, he has contributed to innovative research methodologies, data collection, and analysis.

Zubović has authored over 100 full papers, 30 of which are indexed in WoS, with research topics ranging from tobacco price elasticity to climate impacts on agriculture. His leadership in organizing international projects and fostering collaboration has been instrumental in advancing economic knowledge. His diverse roles as a lecturer, editor, and researcher underscore his commitment to socio-economic progress, making him a key figure in Serbian and international economics.
