The Institute of Food Technology (FINS), University of Novi Sad, is one of the leading research institutes dedicated to advancing science, innovation, and sustainable development in the agri-food sector. Its core activities include scientific research, innovation, technology transfer, and the implementation of national and international research and innovation projects.

FINS conducts multidisciplinary research in food and feed science, sustainable processing technologies, food and feed quality and safety, the development of value-added products, and resource-efficient solutions based on alternative raw materials and agri-food by-products. The Institute also has extensive expertise in food authenticity, geographical indication protection, sensory and consumer science, and the development of functional and personalised food products.

Working closely with industry, FINS translates scientific knowledge into practical applications through the development and validation of innovative technologies and products, intellectual property generation, consultancy services, and pilot-scale trials. Through its accredited FINSLab laboratory and pilot-scale processing facilities, the Institute provides advanced analytical services, quality and safety testing, interlaboratory comparisons, and technological support for the food and feed industries.

FINS has extensive experience in coordinating and participating in national, regional, and international research and innovation projects.
