Chupsi is a sustainable food-tech startup based in Bosnia and Herzegovina that bridges academic research, local agricultural production, and circular economy principles. Founded by Dr. sc. Anita Lalić, a food scientist with over 15 years of industry and research experience, the company focuses on creating innovative solutions to minimize food waste at its source.

We utilize value-added recycling (upcycling) to transform underutilized regional resources—specifically tons of persimmons left to rot in orchards and highly nutritious brewer's spent grain—into premium, functional, and science-backed dehydrated snacks. Our product formulations are built directly on extensive laboratory research, including published book chapters and academic theses.

Driven by a zero-waste philosophy, Chupsi is focused on scaling its eco-friendly manufacturing through advanced technological solutions, including solar-powered dehydration systems and the development of biodegradable packaging derived from brewery by-products.
