PePeKo – Association of Fruit and Vegetable Processors of Kosovo is a non-profit, non-governmental business association established in 2014 and officially registered in 2015. The association represents and supports businesses operating in Kosovo's fruit and vegetable processing industry, promoting competitiveness, sustainable growth, and market development.
PePeKo works to strengthen the capacities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through technical assistance, professional training, business development, advocacy, and improved access to finance and markets. The association facilitates cooperation between processors, farmers, financial institutions, government authorities, development partners, and international buyers.
Its key areas of engagement include food safety and quality standards, export promotion, value chain development, resource efficiency, renewable energy, waste management, digitalisation, and sustainable production practices.
PePeKo is also committed to women's economic empowerment, inclusive employment, and strengthening the participation of women-led enterprises in the agri-food sector.
Through strategic partnerships, research, policy dialogue, B2B matchmaking, and sector-focused initiatives such as the Food Sector Forum, PePeKo contributes to building a competitive, innovative, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable food processing industry in Kosovo.
