STE Analytics

STE Analytics is a Finnish modelling and analytics company specialising in system dynamics, structural causal modelling, and AI-assisted decision support for complex industrial and energy systems.

We help organisations understand how interconnected systems behave over time by combining expert knowledge, data, and mathematical simulation. Our models capture causal relationships, feedback loops, delays, constraints, and organisational decision rules. They are used for scenario analysis, impact assessment, strategic planning, market analysis, risk management, and evaluation of alternative policies and interventions.

Our experience covers energy, forest products, chemicals, metals, manufacturing, and public-sector applications in Europe and North America. We have developed more than 30 mathematical market and business models, including models of energy and industrial systems.

We have also developed an AI-assisted interface that enables both technical experts and non-technical decision makers to interact with simulation models using natural language, explore what-if scenarios, understand model behaviour, and receive explainable recommendations grounded in the underlying causal model.

For Horizon Europe collaborations, STE Analytics can contribute system dynamics modelling, structural causal analysis, scenario development, cross-sector impact assessment, and AI-assisted decision-support tools. We are particularly interested in projects involving industrial transition pathways, biodiversity impacts, energy systems, systemic risks, sustainability trade-offs, and policy interventions.
