Mammal Society

Mammal Society is a non-governmental organisation based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, dedicated to mammal research, biodiversity conservation and the protection of natural habitats. Our activities include field research, species distribution mapping, biodiversity monitoring, bat surveys, small mammal ecology and environmental impact assessment.

We aim to improve scientific knowledge of mammal populations, identify threats to wildlife and support evidence-based conservation and sustainable environmental management. Our expertise includes field survey design, ecological data collection, GIS-based mapping, habitat assessment and evaluating the impacts of infrastructure development on wildlife.

We are interested in international research partnerships, capacity building and collaborative projects addressing biodiversity loss, habitat fragmentation, ecosystem restoration and effective biodiversity monitoring. Through Horizon Europe and other international funding programmes, we seek to contribute regional expertise, fieldwork capacity and conservation experience in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider Western Balkans.
