IPOGEA SCPL

IPOGEA is an Italian cooperative working at the intersection of cultural heritage, traditional knowledge and sustainable landscape management. Its activities combine research, conservation, education and project development, exploring the relationships between communities, architecture and the natural environment.

A particular focus is the study and enhancement of traditional techniques for managing water, soil and other natural resources, and their relevance to contemporary environmental challenges. IPOGEA promotes approaches that connect heritage conservation with ecosystem protection, community participation and sustainable local development.

Its experience includes international cooperation and initiatives supporting UNESCO World Heritage nomination processes, as well as educational programmes that make cultural and environmental knowledge accessible to different audiences. Through projects such as Parco Leonardo in Tuscany, IPOGEA brings together culture, nature, science and hospitality.

IPOGEA is interested in collaborating with public authorities, universities, research organisations and civil society partners on interdisciplinary projects addressing biodiversity, landscape restoration and the contribution of cultural heritage and traditional knowledge to sustainability.
