inforelais engages for more than 25 years in green transition. We highlight a few recent projects and activities for illustration:
Policy Orientation “Green Storytelling through Art, Culture and Heritage” Arts have the faculty to imagine new futures, creative industries are able to transform these perspectives to sustainable products and cultural services, heritage professional can demonstrate how previous generations have tackled transformation – for a future of populations in a healthy environment, sufficient and sustainable (food) production, access to and protection from water. The policy recommendations provide orientation for decisionmakers how to further green storytelling ecosystems and to tackle challenging policy environments in view of sustainable transformation. Local, regional, national, EU and international action is needed, is one of the main conclusions of these policy orientations.
Collaborative Green Action Planning – the example of a European Capital of Culture The overall aim of this work was to bring forward updated answers for policymakers on all levels (local, regional, national, European) in view of a better cooperation between culture and green policies. The contribution of the Salzkammergut to this broader debate is the elaboration of a green culture action plan in order to structurally support a longer-term anchorage of the topic in the region – including in the European Capital of Culture legacy phase from 2025 onward. Workshops in autumn 2023 were dedicated to the topics of nature protection & biodiversity, sustainable tourism & agriculture as well as to the topic of waters, rivers & glaciers. Based on the outcome of the cross-sectoral stakeholder workshops, a range of thematic priorities for the Salzkammergut were identified. Final activities did comprise the networking with outstanding international good practices, a funding workshop as well as a final debate on the planned action priorities with local stakeholders and international partners.
“More than a 100 green cultural dreams” – A serious game for and with green culture! The game provides cultural, city and regional stakeholders with a first action plan and orientation for green transformation. It takes around half a day of playing with a strategy development expert and focuses on many actions – small and big also with less budgetary requirements. The game reflects the cultural opportunities in view of the required transformations. The game characters were designed by a young Austrian animation artist.
