EnviroStrat

EnviroStrat is a New Zealand nature-finance and environmental strategy firm. We take nature-based solutions from evidence to investment, combining geospatial modelling, natural capital accounting and ecosystem services valuation with blended-finance structuring. Our land-to-sea approach balances livelihoods, food security, climate resilience and ecosystem health. We have delivered projects in Aotearoa New Zealand, the Pacific, Southeast Asia and Africa for clients including the World Bank, PEMSEA, the Governments of Indonesia and Madagascar, NZ MFAT, the Ministry for the Environment and the UBS Optimus Foundation.

What we bring:

• Spatial prioritisation: GIS-based multi-criteria analysis and scenario modelling to target where solutions go (for example, 20+ data layers mapping freshwater aquaculture suitability across Cambodia for the World Bank).

• Natural capital accounting: UN SEEA water accounts (Hawke's Bay), ecosystem accounts, valuation of ecosystem services, and cost-benefit analysis that counts environmental and social co-benefits.

• Climate and GHG analytics: regional inventories built to the Global Protocol for Community Emissions; three successive Waikato inventories underpin the Waikato Climate Action Strategy. Also on-farm emissions and nutrient modelling.

• Nature finance and investment readiness: blended finance, results-based payments, green and hybrid bonds, payments for ecosystem services, carbon and cashflow models, and benefit-sharing models.

• Stakeholder and Indigenous engagement: partnership facilitation across government, iwi and Indigenous communities, the private sector and NGOs.

• Measurement, reporting and verification at project, standard and scheme level.

Team: led by CEO Dr Nigel Bradly (30+ years in natural resources and the blue economy) and Sustainability Director Cerasela Stancu (three decades across Europe, Asia and NZ). The wider team covers landscape-scale solutions, marine policy and climate adaptation (PhD), carbon and climate reporting, and geospatial analysis and remote sensing.
