Association of Self-Governments “Euroregion Carpathians Ukraine-Carpathian Regional Development Agency”.

The Association of Self-Governments “Euroregion Carpathians Ukraine-Carpathian Regional Development Agency” is a Ukrainian association based in Lviv, supporting cooperation and sustainable development in the Carpathian region, including the Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions.

We connect local authorities, communities and partner organisations to develop joint projects, strengthen local capacities and promote cross-border and European cooperation. Our priorities include environmental protection, sustainable tourism, regional development and access to international funding.

For the Horizon Europe NATURE calls, we are developing CARPATHIAN NATURESHIFT, a project concept focused on integrating biodiversity into local decision-making, land and forest management, freshwater protection and local economic development. Our particular interest is HORIZON-NATURE-2027-01-03: Systemic approaches to accelerate transformative change for biodiversity.

Our proposed contribution includes engaging Ukrainian municipalities and local stakeholders, identifying community pilot sites, coordinating participatory activities, organising capacity-building programmes and supporting the uptake of project results. We are also developing a digital platform to connect communities, map their needs and facilitate project partnerships.

We are seeking an experienced Horizon Europe coordinator and complementary partners with expertise in biodiversity, ecosystem management, social and behavioural sciences, environmental economics and policy. We welcome discussions with universities, research institutes, environmental organisations and local authorities interested in jointly developing the concept or involving us in a relevant consortium.
