MILPA is a French company founded by a group of farmers that supports the transition of field crops to organic and regenerative agriculture.
Our mission is to make farms more resilient by guiding farmers towards sustainable practices.
To achieve this, we deploy intercropping, permanent cover crops with direct seeding, and soil life stimulation. At the same time, we guarantee farmers an operating margin per hectare, shielding them from the economic risk of the transition. Our approach is integrated and rooted in the field. MILPA implements cereal-legume intercrops and no-till direct seeding under permanent cover crops. It does so on farms that begin their full conversion to certified organic agriculture from the very start of the programme. MILPA provides day-to-day advice to more than 90 family-run arable farms, covering around 10,000 hectares in France.
Restores degraded arable land at a catchment level.
Help farmers transition to fully certified organic, input-free farming practices ; restoring soils, water and biodiversity while their income is guaranteed.
