Udruženje građana za razvoj eko-ruralnog turizma Podunav

UG Podunav is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, whose main goal is the promotion and preservation of the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Special nature reserve Upper Danube and its surroundings, as well as the sustainable development and improvement of the local community. The association gathers about twenty members, from different professions and scope of work, where everyone has a role in achieving the goals of the organization. "Podunav" was founded in July 2007. Members are engaged in the field of preserving cultural heritage, improving the state of the environment, sustainable development of eco-rural tourism, organizing activities for the rehabilitation of endangered areas, public advocacy for changing habits in terms of using and preserving natural resources and in terms of dealing with waste materials, promoting sustainable energy sources, educating citizens, especially children and young people, about the importance of preserving and protecting the environment and traditions, promoting and preserving cultural heritage, creativity of women, national minorities, enriching content for young people through their involvement in the mentioned areas and organizing events that promote the area. Until now, it has implemented numerous projects and activities, which resulted in significant recognitions from authorities and organizations in our country and abroad. It is also the recipient of various awards for his work.
