Diatom Group is developing an AI-native marine biodiversity platform that helps companies, investors and governments assess and manage the impacts and risks of their ocean projects and investments.

The platform integrates three complementary monitoring methods (bioacoustics, environmental DNA (eDNA) and underwater imagery).

Over the next year, Diatom is focusing on marine restoration projects: kelp, seagrass, mangrove, coral, oyster reefs and mussel beds. For these, the platform delivers baselines, site selection, feasibility studies and monitoring designs, giving restoration developers and funders credible evidence of biodiversity outcomes.
