KIT4 – Association for Development and Research of Cultural Industries

KIT4 – Association for Development and Research of Cultural Industries is a Slovenian non-profit organisation and interdisciplinary platform bringing together artists, researchers and creative practitioners from different fields. We work at the intersection of art, research and community engagement, developing participatory and interdisciplinary approaches that connect cultural heritage, artistic research, creative practice and social innovation.

Our work focuses on post-industrial and local communities, inclusive cultural participation, intergenerational exchange and arts-based methodologies. Through collaborations with museums, local communities, artists, researchers, cultural institutions and social organisations, we design and implement projects that strengthen community agency, foster knowledge exchange and contribute to sustainable cultural development.

KIT4 works across different artistic and research practices, including visual art, sound, spatial and digital practices, material research and participatory processes. The interdisciplinary composition of the platform allows us to form project teams according to the specific context and research question.

KIT4 is interested in European partnerships related to participatory heritage, arts and health, community engagement, artistic research, co-creation and inclusive approaches to societal challenges. We offer expertise in pilot implementation, stakeholder engagement, participatory methodologies, interdisciplinary artistic research and process documentation.
