Environmental Pathogen and Host Surveillance

Principal Investigator at Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Science Outreach and Pandemic Preparedness at the Medical University of Vienna

Vienna, Austria

About

I offer expertise in wastewater and environmental surveillance, pathogen genomics, bioinformatics, NGS and data visualisation. My work focuses on leveraging eDNA/eRNA from environmental samples to monitor pathogens and their hosts across environments, with a focus on urban context.

I am particularly interested in contributing to Horizon NATURE living-lab initiatives that integrate One Health approaches, environmental monitoring and public engagement. Potential contributions include study design, sequencing-based surveillance workflows, bioinformatics pipelines, data integration and visualisation of complex spatial and temporal surveillance data.

I would welcome collaboration with consortia seeking expertise in environmental surveillance, pathogen detection, genomic data analysis and community-driven monitoring approaches.
