The Association of Technical Universitites Doctoral Students is a nationwide initiative aimed at integrating doctoral communities of technical universities and strengthening cooperation with both the academic environment and industry. It was established on April 19, 2008, at the initiative of doctoral candidates from Gdańsk University of Technology. The founding statute was signed by representatives of nine technical universities. Today, the Association unites 23 doctoral student councils from across Poland.
The activities of the Association are built upon four key pillars:
Association – fostering strong and lasting relationships between doctoral candidates, academia, and industry stakeholders,
Action – initiating and supporting projects that enhance the visibility and influence of the doctoral community,
Skills – promoting the development of scientific, organizational, and soft skills among young researchers,
Knowledge Transfer – encouraging the exchange of academic and organizational experience between faculty and doctoral candidates.
Regular assemblies are a vital part of Association’s operations. These events provide a platform for exchanging academic and organizational experiences, representing the interests of doctoral communities, carrying out joint initiatives, and activating the broader academic environment of young researchers.
