We identify and implement innovative technology solutions for our business partners and help them achieve their goals faster and with less risk. As an independent research academy, the Institute supports new technologies and helps with their introduction. Our high-quality reference implementations provide rapid and low-risk access to innovative, cost-effective solutions.
Our competencies allow us to leverage various technologies within the IoT ecosystem, such as wireless communication protocols, microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators, combined with the ability to harness the required energy from the surrounding environment (energy harvesting from light/solar, temperature gradients, vibration, or Radiofrequency).
The group has developed several embedded systems operating at nano-watt levels and avoiding using batteries. Such solutions enable many new applications, products, and services. Optimization for energy, size, and cost makes them particularly suited for applications where data and condition monitoring are game changers (wearables, assets, goods, livestock, water, or other vital natural resources).
