4D Fusion develops a modular additive-manufacturing platform for sustainable advanced materials and circular manufacturing. Our system combines high-speed FDM with the proprietary BFG head and a dedicated workflow for preparing gram-scale material inserts, enabling fast formulation → print → test loops with minimal waste and short changeover times.

We support consortia working on innovative advanced materials-based technologies by turning lab formulations into printable specimens and application-driven demonstrators — especially for highly filled polymer composites and multi-material parts (functional layers, gradients, tailored properties). The approach is well-suited for rapid screening of materials including recycled/variable-quality polymers and functional additives, helping partners de-risk manufacturability early and accelerate transfer toward pilot-scale validation.

What we can contribute in Horizon projects (typical contributions):

• Materials prototyping testbed: rapid printability assessment, process windows, repeatable coupons and prototype parts.

• Circularity acceleration: trials with recycled feedstocks and circular formulations; fast iteration with low material consumption.
