About

TRYGONS S.A. is a high-tech Greek SME specialising in the design, development, and industrial manufacturing of advanced composite parts and structures, with a strong focus on the maritime, automotive, medical, and defence sectors. Headquartered in Keratea, Greece, TRYGONS combines in-house R&D, state-of-the-art production infrastructure, and more than 15 years of engineering experience to deliver lightweight, high-performance CFRP and GFRP solutions for demanding applications.

At the core of TRYGONS’ activity lies deep expertise in composite materials engineering and manufacturing, enabling the production of medium- to large-scale, complex, reinforced structures with high dimensional accuracy, stiffness, and structural stability. The company has developed proprietary monocoque infusion techniques and vertically integrated production lines that allow the fabrication of large and geometrically complex components with reduced cycle times, lower material waste, and competitive cost structures. These capabilities support mass production and industrial scalability, bridging advanced materials R&D with repeatable, high-quality manufacturing.

TRYGONS covers the full product and manufacturing lifecycle, from early-stage concept design and structural optimisation to validated prototyping, industrialisation, and market entry. A key differentiator is the company’s strong orientation toward applied research and near-to-market innovation: R&D activities are systematically aligned with technologies that can be directly integrated into either commercial products or production lines, improving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality, and environmental performance.

In the maritime domain, TRYGONS designs, produces, and commercialises its own vessel range ranging from 4.9 to 7.8 m, delivering highly efficient, lightweight composite platforms for professional and commercial use. In parallel, the company develops unmanned surface vessels (USVs) as dual-use platforms, leveraging the same industrial composite know-how to enable modular architectures, high structural efficiency, and integration-ready payload interfaces for multi-mission configurations. These maritime platforms also serve as practical engineering testbeds, supporting technology maturation and validation of advanced composite structures and system integration concepts under real operating conditions.

In the automotive sector, TRYGONS supplies high-quality reinforced composite components optimised for performance, weight reduction, and manufacturability, while in the medical sector the company applies its materials and process expertise to the development and production of specialised composite parts where precision, repeatability, and controlled manufacturing conditions are essential. Across all sectors, TRYGONS’ contribution is grounded in industrial manufacturing excellence and technology-driven R&D, with a clear focus on TRL progression, from engineering design and prototyping to industrialisation and validation in representative operational environments, delivering solutions that are ready for deployment rather than remaining at concept level.

Over recent years, TRYGONS has undertaken a structured digital transformation of its production environment, largely supported through participation in European-funded research and innovation projects. The company is actively integrating automation, advanced robotics, AI-driven process monitoring, and digital twin technologies into its manufacturing lines. These efforts aim to increase productivity and consistency, reduce defects and material waste, optimise energy use, and enhance traceability and quality assurance, while also improving operator safety and workplace ergonomics by reducing physically demanding and repetitive tasks.

Today, TRYGONS acts as an industrial innovation hub, collaborating closely with universities, research organisations, and industrial partners across Greece and the EU. Through this role, the company contributes manufacturing expertise, pilot production capacity, and real-world validation environments to Horizon Europe consortia, supporting the development, testing, and industrial uptake of advanced materials, digital manufacturing technologies, and sustainable production processes. This approach reflects TRYGONS’ commitment to delivering practical, exploitable innovation with direct industrial impact, fully aligned with the objectives of Horizon Europe Cluster 4.
