About
The Intelligent Computer Systems and Applications (ICSA) group is framed within the School of Digital Technology, Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University of Athens, aiming at advancing research and development and promoting new knowledge in areas related to intelligent computer systems and applications, so as to contribute to the European Digital Sovereignty and the realization of a human centric, AI-enabled society.
Based on the group’s participation in numerous research and development efforts at a worldwide level, the group has been specialized in designing, developing and validating services and applications based on knowledge-based cognitive wireless networks, in the following areas:
Knowledge-based management and optimization of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) services and applications
Applications for data transmission over heterogeneous and dynamically changing environments, big data services and applications, 5G networking.
Next generation intelligent transport systems (ITS)
Mobility-as-a-service, V2X communications, 5G for connected and automated mobility, scene and obstacle recognition systems, non-causal reasoning and cognitive algorithms for safety critical systems in vehicles, highly automated driving functions, safety / emergency management, design and management of car pooling and car sharing systems.
