Potential Fields data compilation, processing and modelling for natural resource exploration

Technical Director at Residual Anomaly

Leeds, United Kingdom

About

Gravity and magnetics are increasingly viewed as key tools in a number of the energy transition domains including natural hydrogen/helium, critical minerals and geothermal exploration. Residual anomaly is grounded in over 30 years of experience of the integrated analysis of gravity and magnetic data to solve exploration problems.

This includes:

·        Compilation of all readily available gravity and magnetic data over the target areas of interest and carrying out advanced processing to highlight key subsurface features (e.g. derivatives to highlight faults, anomalous bodies, lithological boundaries).

 ·        Assessment of the gravity and magnetic datasets to identify structurally favourable domains, basement types, and tectonic settings most likely to support the natural resource in question.

·        Interpretation of deep-seated faults, fracture corridors and crustal boundaries that control fluid movement.

·        Identification of potential mafic/ultramafic bodies and cratonic basements blocks.

·        2D/3D modelling to reduce subsurface uncertainties.

·        Conditioning and integration of all relevant geoscience data (e.g. geophysical, geochemical, geological, remote-sensing, above-ground factors) to rank prospects and eliminate low-probability targets before significant capital is committed.

·        Support the development of ML/AI models for presence prediction based on existing knowledge and training data.

Please get in touch it these elements would enhance your natural hydrogen, critical minerals or geothermal project proposal.
