About
Privacy-first Decentralised Data Management
Collecting and processing sensitive, rapidly changing data from distributed, heterogeneous systems is a challenge across sectors—AI optimisation demands data, but sharing it can be risky.
For example, in Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS), supply chains must be reconfigured in near real time. Relevant data—production runs, failure rates, costs, job allocation pipelines—is often siloed, commercial, and constantly evolving.
UST is the lead developer and WP/component lead for data management in the Medusa project, implementing these concepts in real-world distributed, AI-optimised manufacturing systems.
Our system enables privacy-preserving, secure, decentralised data management, allowing AI optimisation while protecting sensitive information. Although exemplified in MaaS, the solution is fully transferable to other sectors where secure data sharing is critical.
