About

EDI is an autonomous State research institution. The Institute focuses on applied research areas such as remote sensing and space data processing, precise event timing technologies, robotics and machine perception, embedded intelligence and sensor networks. EDI has managed more than 20 projects in the past five years, including EU framework, state-funded, and ERDF projects. Robotics researchers at EDI have experience in applied machine learning and computer vision, including work on mapping outdoors environments (for autonomous vehicles and mobile robots), adaptive trajectory planning and grasping methods for industrial robots, and actuation of various controllable systems, including articulated robots and fluid-based systems.
