INEA has been developing industrial solutions for managing electrical power peaks since 1980. It is now a SME with 100+ highly educated employees. INEA's experts are active in research projects in the fields of demand response, smart grid solutions, advanced control technologies and fuel cells and hydrogen technologies. INEA has successfully completed 10 HORIZON projects. INEA's relevant experiences include demand response, peak shaving, load shedding, process scheduling and the use of internal power generation facilities in the field of electricity and heat management. More than 50 demand response management systems have been implemented and installed in various industries with total installed power of 250 MW, generating in total 35 MW demand response. Partnering with Slovenian biggest DSO company INEA implemented and demonstrated the first Virtual Power Plant system based on own Demand Side Management technology. INEA is currently demonstrating demand response solutions across several demonstration sites in EU and Slovenia. Company has received several awards for innovative technologies within energy sector: Slovenian »Most innovative energy company«, »Best poster award« from Smart Grids Forum, »Dubai Expo2020 initiative«, »Seal of Excellence« at SME Instrument, and many others. INEA is a founding father and major stakeholder of several international technology networks, for example JETNET, goal of which is to provide a bridge between Slovenian and Japanese technological innovators. Company has also a very strong presence in the FCH JU, closing the gap between hydrogen research and Smart Grid technologies.
