AITEX is the leading technology centre in Spain and at the forefront of innovation, research and technological development, and one of Europe’s foremost centres. With more than thirty-five years’ experience, we are committed to ongoing investment in infrastructure to provide solutions to the private sector and creating development opportunities in a range of sectors in the present and the future.

We offer advanced technical services for the textile, habitat, clothing, marine equipment, technical textiles, cosmetics, and other application sectors that require of cutting-edge technologies. We provide a wide range of services for companies that develop products for the different markets where textiles have applications. These broadly services fall into the following three fundamental areas of action.

Laboratories and certifications

Product quality controls and certifications issued with compliance on technical requirements and standards, in accordance with international regulations.

R&D

Privately contracted projects with clients for the development of specific products and/or improvement of production processes, in addition to various R&D consultancy services. The results remain exclusively the property of the client.

Technical training

Technical training of professionals in new techniques, technologies, knowledge, and textile processes. University Master's Degrees are taught in collaboration with universities.

Within the scope of research, development, and innovation, AITEX has different research groups that are devoted to many technological areas: “Smart Textiles and Digitalization, Technical Fibers and Textile Materials, Nanotechnology, Sustainability and Materials Technology, Circularity, Eco-processes, Cosmetics and Health, Defence, Chemical Technologies and Energy, and Design, Fashion and Clothing.”
