BNN's multidisciplinary team has gained experience in more than 50 national and European R&D&I projects (e.g., FP7, H2020, HORIZON EUROPE, COST Actions, etc.) in the field of nanotechnology and advanced materials in different sectors, focusing on health, safety and sustainability aspects in early innovation phases (Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design approach). In addition, BNN can build on an extensive international network and established collaborations with key stakeholders across Europe.

BNN coordinates the BioNanoNet Association with more than 70 members, as well as the National Technology Platforms Advanced Microfluidics Initiative, NanoMedicine-Austria and SusChem-AT.
