About
VSB – Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO) is seeking to join an industry-driven consortium preparing a proposal for HORIZON-CL4-2027-01-MAT-PROD-16 – Technologies for innovative processing of raw materials.
We offer expertise in advanced characterisation and environmental assessment of complex mineral residues and secondary raw materials. Our capabilities include XRF, XRD, SEM-EDS, particle-size analysis and fractionation, chemical analysis, leaching and ecotoxicity testing.
A particular strength is linking material composition and mineralogy with contaminant distribution, mobility and environmental effects. This enables us to support not only raw-material recovery but also environmental validation of residual streams after processing, including assessment of detoxification efficiency and their potential for safe valorisation.
We have experience with complex industrial mineral residues, including combustion-derived materials, and access to industrially relevant fluidized-bed SRF combustion ashes and associated operational information.
We are particularly interested in cooperation with partners developing pilot-scale technologies for processing complex raw materials and residues, recovery of valuable or critical raw materials, and subsequent valorisation of processed mineral streams.
We are interested in contributing as a research and environmental validation partner, complementing technology developers, raw-material providers and industrial demonstration partners.
