Gotberg is a forward-thinking boutique winery set among the rolling hills of Popice, near Hustopeče, in the Mikulov wine region of South Moravia. The estate focuses on premium wines from Pálava and surrounding vineyards, turning the strong local terroir into elegant, characterful bottles.

Founded in 2003, Gotberg has quickly become part of the Czech wine elite. The team works exclusively with grapes from their own vineyards and has been producing high-quality, classified (attribute) wines from estate fruit since 2010. Their wines regularly win medals at major international competitions, from Europe to overseas, confirming the winery’s ambition to stand on a global stage.

Sustainability is at the core of Gotberg’s philosophy. The vineyards are farmed with deep respect for nature, which is reflected in the winery’s BIO certification. Careful work in the vines, low yields and selective harvesting help express the unique character of varieties such as Riesling, Pálava, Traminer, Chardonnay and Merlot.

The winery building itself is a landmark of contemporary wine architecture. Nestled directly among the rows of vines, its clean lines and large glass surfaces open up to panoramic views of Pálava and the Novomlýnské (Mušov) lakes. A spacious tasting room and terrace invite guests to slow down, enjoy the landscape and discover the wines in their natural context.

Visitors can taste current releases by the glass or in guided tastings, often combined with small local snacks and cellar tours.
