Château Les Valentines

Founded in 1997 by Gilles Pons and Pascale Massenot, Château Les Valentines is a family-run wine estate located in Provence, in La Londe-les-Maures. Nestled between vineyards, pine forests and scrubland, the vineyard covers 50 hectares facing south towards the Mediterranean Sea. The name of the estate is inspired by the first names of their children, Valentin and Clémentine. Committed to an environmentally friendly approach, the estate is certified organic by ECOCERT.

· History:

Our vineyard covers 35 hectares of mica schist soil, nestled at the foot of the Massif des Maures, in a naturally preserved environment.

Our vines are cultivated with care using organic farming methods: the soil is worked deeply, without the use of weedkillers or insecticides.

We grow 11 different grape varieties on the estate: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsaut, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Tibouren, Rolle, Clairette and Ugni Blanc.

The average age of the vines is around 30 years, and some plots, true treasures of the estate, are over 100 years old.

· Wine description:

Since 2022, Château Les Valentines has been producing exclusively AOP Côtes de Provence La Londe wines. This exceptional terroir, classified as a single vineyard in 2008, is distinguished by its schist soils, unique maritime microclimate and proximity to the Îles d'Or. These are ideal conditions for wines of great finesse.

We produce 75% rosé, 20% red and 5% white. Each year, we strive to produce consistent, balanced wines that showcase our spicy, mineral Mediterranean terroir.
