The evening will start with a powerful keynote by Dr. Michael Förtsch, CEO of Q.ANT, followed by a panel discussion.

Keynote: The Next Inflection Point: Why AI Needs a New Kind of Compute 

AI's appetite for compute is growing faster than CPUs and GPUs can keep up. The next leap in performance won't come from making today's chips faster, but it will come from an entirely new category of compute. Michael Förtsch, CEO and founder of Q.ANT, makes the case for photonic computing: processors that compute with light instead of electricity, freeing AI's growth from the energy and data-bottleneck limits of today's hardware. Drawing on Q.ANT's own work at the frontier of this technology, Förtsch shares his vision of where compute is headed next, what it will take to get there and why this is Europe's opening to help shape a new pillar of computing, rather than simply adopt one built elsewhere. 

Panel Discussion

The Panel Discussion is moderated by Russell Perry and will focus on the state of Tech in Europe, focusing on current trends, what Europe has and what Europe needs. Panelists are Dr. Hermann Hauser, Anna Strumpel, Ludovit Garzik, Jason Turner and Cliff Pfefferkorn.

The program runs from 19:30 to 21:30. We’ll close with relaxed networking and great conversations.

Transportation: The venue is a 15 minute walk from the central station, but quite a long walk rom the center. Tram 6 stops at Nikolaus-Harnoncourt-Park, which is a 1 minute walk from the venue. There is plenty of parking space.

Catering: Finger food will be served throughout the evening and there will be an open bar.
