My organisation

ENCOUNTER Provides training for professionals and consulting services in health, social and educational interventions, project funding, project management, Science Communication Outputs for various audience groups and data analysis services. Focusing on children, young people and their participation, well-being, sustainable childhoods, social equality and media interventions, training and services development as well as in EU projects' funding, implementation, data analysis, metadata and open science and Science Communication outputs for various audiences, including policy papers, practice and professional guidelines and others as per request.

About me

ENCOUNTER Training and Consulting is run by Tereza and Martin who both hold PhD. in Sociology from the University of Galway, Ireland.

Tereza's background is in social, health and educational interventions research focusing children and young people. She teaches modules in Mentoring for Children and Young People, Sociology of Childhood, Children, Youth and Sustainability and Children, Youth and Media @Charles University in Prague. She cooperates with the professionals from the community of practice and with the National Pedagogical Institute, training the professionals in evidence-based practice in social, pedagogical and health interventions for children and youth.

Martin is a senior advisor, project manager and coordinator of WPs in Horizon Europe projects in Ireland and the Czech Republic. He is an expert advisor in writing and designing the targeted projects, implementation and dissemination of projects' results to various audience groups, including policy briefs, policy papers and SciCom guidelines for professionals and advisors.

Our start-up ENCOUNTER offers educational and training modules in youth social and health interventions, such as youth-adult mentoring interventions. It stems as a result of a successful Horizon Europe Marie Sklodowska Curie postdoctoral fellowship funding no. 101027291 ENCOUNTER: Experiences of Youth in Natural Mentoring Relationships (2021-23, Charles University). We focus on design, implementation, training in newest intervention approaches including digital mentoring relationships and interventions, and youth-initiated mentoring practices besides other participatory interventions training.
