NovInCell Therapeutics is a biotechnology company developing a novel therapeutic approach for acute ischemic stroke (AIS), one of the leading causes of death and long-term disability worldwide.
Current stroke treatments focus primarily on restoring cerebral blood flow through thrombolysis or mechanical thrombectomy. However, reperfusion can also expose the damaged cerebral vasculature to additional stress, contributing to blood-brain barrier disruption, edema and hemorrhagic complications.
NovInCell is developing small-molecule inhibitors of PI3KC2β designed to protect the vascular interface during ischemia and reperfusion. Our approach aims to stabilize endothelial junctions and preserve blood-brain barrier integrity, providing a complementary therapeutic strategy to existing reperfusion treatments.
The program builds on academic research in phosphoinositide signaling and vascular biology and is currently advancing through preclinical drug discovery and validation.
We are interested in collaborations with academic and translational research groups, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and development partners with expertise in stroke models, neurovascular biology, biomarkers, pharmacology, drug development and clinical translation. Our objective is to build partnerships that can accelerate the development of a new vascular-protective treatment paradigm for acute ischemic stroke.
