Coen Willems

Coen Willems is a co-founder of IP Maison, a boutique Patent Law Firm, where he works as Dutch and European Patent Attorney. He studied Biomedical Engineering at TU/e and obtained a PhD-degree at the Pediatrics Department of Maastricht University. 

As Patent Attorney, Coen assists clients ranging from startups to multi-nationals. Next to his experience as external patent attorney in Patent Law Firms, he has extensive experience as an in-house IP Counsel in industry. Therefore, his experience ranges from building patent portfolio’s and defending the client’s interests in case of (potential) patent disputes to formulating IP policies/strategies, setting up in-house IP management and making IP arrangements in collaborations.
