Easy Smart Grid - DATA -01-03 Smart IoT Platforms

Easy Smart Grid develops technology to utilize any type of grid user energy flexibility as a very low-cost source of "virtual batteries". This flexibility can be used for balancing volatility of renewable generation (mainly PV, Wind), or overcome grid constraints, or both. The innovative approach uses highy dynamic price signals to stimulate and reward such flexibility, while the return signal channel exploits grid pysics. Therefore the technology operates in real-time, can be low-cost and resilient, and can be scaled to any grid level. We successfully demonstrated it in an energy community in Germany which won a "good practice award of the year", and were subsequently invited to contribute to EU projects in the context of "Cloud to Edge". Our interest is to contribute our basic technology to other partners which build residential, commercial/industrial, or distribution-grid based solutions upon it. Patent protection allows highly mutually beneficial co-operation, good fit with Commission objectives should increase chances to get Horizon project support
