Financial Analyst - M&A and Project Finance - Energy transition

By joining the team as an intern analyst at the Paris Finergreen office, you will work in direct contact with a growing team of around 30 professionals on active advisory mandates, which may be M&A or Project Finance, at all stages.

You will work under the supervision of Associates, VPs or Directors, on 1-3 different transactions and will benefit from various types of assignments and/or tasks, learning from the different business experiences that you come across.

The scope of the role will include:

  • Analysis and production activities

-   Perform preliminary financial analysis of projects or companies

-   Contribute to financial models, either on Project Finance or M&A transactions

-   Draft marketing materials (teasers, info memos, other memos, etc.)

  • Marketing activities

-   Manage day-to-day interactions with lenders or investors

-   Attend meetings and negotiations

  • Execution

-   Monitor due diligence processes

-   Liaise and coordinate with external advisors (legal, technical, accountants etc…)

-   Manage Q&A process between investors and clients

  • Finergreen activities

-   Carry out market research

-   Draft client pitches

-   Contribute to communications, marketing or other material for the company

 Requirements

 The ideal candidate should have an outstanding academic track record and hold a Masters or similar degree from a renowned institution, with a financial or business background (or engineering with a good financial knowledge).

They should have 6 to 12+ months of internship experience.

Experience in project finance and/or M/A in the energy transition sector, as well as experience in advisory (investment bank or M&A/advisory boutique) or investment (investment fund or asset manager) is a plus.

In addition, they should demonstrate the following skills:

  • Dynamism and a strong work ethic

  • The ability to learn quickly and take initiatives in allocated tasks

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Time management, organizational skills and great reliability

  • Strong financial analysis and accounting skills, proven financial modelling skills (Excel)

  • Communication skills (both oral and written)

  • Knowledge of the energy transition sector is a plus

  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) and ability to draft documents in English
