About
HÉKATE is an interoperable Energy Data Space designed to support data-driven decarbonisation and energy optimisation for buildings, industrial facilities and urban environments.
Today, most energy studies, simulations and certifications are produced using fragmented methodologies and isolated datasets, making results difficult to compare, reuse or scale across assets and territories. HÉKATE addresses this challenge by creating a common, traceable and continuously improvable energy data infrastructure.
The platform integrates multiple layers of information — including energy simulations, administrative datasets, utility data and IoT monitoring — into standardised digital energy profiles accessible through open and interoperable APIs. These profiles evolve progressively through different confidence levels, from simulation-based estimations to calibrated and sensor-validated operational models.
HÉKATE enables municipalities, manufacturing SMEs, technology providers and research organisations to work on a shared energy knowledge base, accelerating collaboration and improving decision making for:
-
industrial energy efficiency,
-
retrofit and electrification planning,
-
renewable integration,
-
energy benchmarking,
-
AI-assisted optimisation,
-
and decarbonisation strategies.
The platform is designed around FIWARE-compatible architectures and scalable digital twin methodologies, enabling interoperability between buildings, industrial sites and smart city infrastructures.
Expected impacts include:
-
improved comparability and quality of energy data,
-
better identification of energy saving opportunities,
-
accelerated digitalisation of energy management processes,
-
reduction of energy consumption and CO₂ emissions,
-
and more efficient planning of industrial and urban decarbonisation actions.
We are looking for manufacturing SMEs, municipalities and technology partners interested in validating open energy data infrastructures and AI-driven energy optimisation workflows in operational environments. We are also particularly interested in collaborating with IoT SMEs and hardware providers to test and validate sensing, edge computing and smart monitoring solutions integrated into interoperable energy management platforms.
