The Monash University European Research Foundation (MUERF), founded in 2022 and based in Prato, Italy, is a not-for-profit entity dedicated to advancing Monash University’s strategic engagement across Europe. MUERF fosters interdisciplinary collaboration in research, doctoral training, and policy innovation, with a strong focus on health, climate, migration, and social equity. MUERF serves as Europe’s gateway into Monash’s global research powerhouse (Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia), facilitating seamless collaboration. Our transcontinental research ecosystem connects Europe to one of the fastest-growing and consequential regions of our times: the Indo-Pacific.
