Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM) is a leading interdisciplinary research hub advancing nanotechnology, advanced materials, micro-nano fabrication, and applied biotechnology. Positioned as a national and regional innovation engine, SUNUM integrates state-of-the-art infrastructure, highly skilled researchers, and strong industry–academia collaboration to accelerate scientific discoveries into real-world solutions.

SUNUM provides end-to-end capabilities — from fundamental research to prototyping, testing, certification, and technology transfer — supporting industrial innovation, deep-tech entrepreneurship, and strategic R&D collaborations aligned with global priorities such as sustainability, digital transformation, advanced manufacturing, and health technologies.

As part of its internationalisation strategy, SUNUM leads the Horizon Europe TEAM-NANO project, strengthening scientific excellence, research management capacity, and strategic partnerships within the ERA. Through TEAM-NANO, SUNUM acts as an open collaboration platform, fostering researcher mobility, knowledge exchange, and long-term cooperation opportunities across universities, research organisations, SMEs, startups, and industry stakeholders.
